"Extra-tuning" for the tenth anniversary of the Opel Meet in the Motorsport Arena.

The figures are well known for saying it all and friends of statistics know: the Opel Meet has been in existence for 14 years and for 10 years it's been hosted by the Oschersleben Motorsport Arena. This year, between the 4th and 7th June the racing and test course near Magdeburg will be a site of pilgrimage for the tuning freaks of the international Opel scene. This anniversary is reason enough to build a few (still secret) surprises into the programme. So the biggest worldwide Opel Meet with over 60 000 visitors can come up trumps with a few more sweets in the "Extra-tuning-category". So you can expect something special!

The tried and tested highlights will remain the same in 2009. The 1/8 mile sprint, the floodlit drift challenge, the second round of the Hella Light Contest, Show & Shine and lots more are already firmly planned into the four-day calendar of events. Oldtimer friends will be presenting their jewels at the Vintage Opel Meet and on the Saturday of the event all nostalgics can enjoy the Bördeland rally once more.

All the highpoints of the 2009 Opel Meet:
Hella Light Contest - the lights producer Hella and Oschersleben Opel Meet are looking for the quickest in the Opel scene to wield a screwdriver
1/8 mile sprint - the ultimate measure of strength on the start/finish straights
Burn-out competition - all wheels will smoke in this event
Public race - piloted driving round the course
Show & Shine - Europe's best vehicles in the eye of the beholder
Drift challenge - a star-studded jury will judge crazy cornering, spectacular side-ons and squeaking tyres
Fireworks display
"Miss Opel 2009" - powered by Friedrich Motorsport
Party in two festival tents - live music and good vibes
Huge trade-fair - right in the racing pits

Of course there are a few new things too. Following last year's experiences, the noise-restricted family campsite will be extended. The number of family Opel enthusiasts has grown over the past few years, and now the organisers are making sure to accommodate them all. This will be made possible by relocating the Vintage Opel Meet participants right next to the entrance. So traffic jams will now be a thing of the past for those precious jewels! The Motorsport Arena carting track is once again going to be Party tent 1, and a limited number of tickets can be ordered for this via an online advanced bookings system. Bookings can be made from 1st March onwards, and will also be available for the family campsite. All other areas will be - as in previous years - allocated on arrival.

"Safety first" - an Opel fan campaign!
The "Safety first!" campaign will be continued. Most of you know that driving under the influence of alcohol is forbidden on the event grounds and that offenders will be punished. So the motto "no risk, no fun" doesn't apply here...

We're looking forward to a full house in Oschersleben at the beginning of June, lots of fun, lots of tuning talks, and above all good weather. Til then, we wish you all a scrap-free winter!

Ik denk niet dat dat een probleem is Moet wel even kijken wat mijn broer doet maar begreep dat hij sowieso vrijdag geen vrij kreeg

JAJA Het is bijna zover.

CDT gaat naar Oschersleben.

Heb het 1 en ander al bekeken, en denk dat het slim is om om half 6 te vertrekken en in duitsland een lekker onbijtje te pakken.

Wil namelijk voor de drukte uit NL zijn. We moeten richting arnhem apeldoorn en daar de grens over.

Dan is het IMMER GERADE AUS!!!!!
